Essay Index

Here are links to some of the Essays I've done for this site that I feel worthy of notice. (Or, in some cases, worthy of warning an unprepared reader of.) They are divided into subcatagories for convenience sake.

Archetypes
I've written several articles listing various fictional archetypes and categories. A bit silly, a bit serious. Reader milage may vary.

Topics include:

Bloody Vikings!
I was hit with spam and came up with several essays on the matter. Which probably says too much about me... Complete in three parts.

Ego Boost Week 2005!
For the heck of it, I decided on spending a week singing my own praises. Very egocentric, but in a sad, pathetic way. It begins with this bit of nonsense, but you can skip that and move to essays glorifying my Drawing Skill, Tree Climbing Decorum, My Writing and the Occasional Completion of the Same, a Trip to Alaska that happened half a lifetime ago, and Two Cases of Serendipity. Read on, and be thankful that I am me! And that you don't have to be.

Friendly Scissors
A series on censorship. Contains a beginning, a middle, but no end. Yet.

General Essays
Here is a list of short essays that don't fit in any other subcatagory. Kind of.

Inspiration
Wandering essay on the variations of Inspiration. Currently about half done.

Super Heroic Essays
Various essays on Super Heroes, including:
This is Not a Series of Essays About Power Girl: Also, I have a rather long series of essays about the Fall of Spider-man which are, for some reason, Power Girl tinted. Wonder why that is? It's called and consists of several Parts.
Part One/Two/Three/Four/Five

Fiction Index

This is an index covering all of the fiction on this site.

  • Cthulhu and Son - Even the child of a Great Old One can get himself into trouble. A single panel comic.
  • The Date - A romantic evening can be thwarted by the smallest details.
  • Strange Dialogue - A brief, odd exchange between two peculiar people.
  • Waiting for the Long Sleep - A small, unpleasent break in a long trip. More of a vignette than a story proper

Image Index

Here are a collection of my drawings and photos that can be found on site. With luck, there will be no broken links:

Cod Gamera - An image inspired by the Friend to Children Everywhere

Cthulhu and Son - A wee one panel comic for your amusement.

Dark Crystal Sketches
Sketches of various characters from the Dark Crystal. The characters are Augrha, Jen, and a nameless Mystic.

Goofy - a sketch of the Disney Character
Horse - Just what the title suggests. It was indicated to me that the original was in too dark a color. Thus, a second image. Sometimes I'm flexible. Just don't rely on it...
Medusa - Images of the dreaded Gorgon, complete with color commentary.

Mock Posters
I made three mock posters for the novel I was working on. Poster #1/#2/#3. Also included is commentary on the nature of the artist/audience relationship

Serpent - A flawed work, in the end, but the detailing is good. Comes with a brief dialogue!
Sphinx - Multiple pictures, so that iffin you don't like my version of a Sphinx, you have another to look at.
Super Deformed Generic Hero - Pretty much, that's what it is.
Serpent - A flawed work, in the end, but the detailing is good

Welltun Cares Presents
A series of one panel cartoons. Poorly drawn from the start of the my big push into art. Note: these are in order of posting and not alphabetical. I know, I know, that was obvious. Still, I feel better saying it...
Indecision!
Doubts!
Romance!
Heroism!
Chershirish Delight!
Adjustment!
Boredom!
Proof That I Can Indeed Draw! - AKA the Bunny Drawing.

Serpent - A flawed work, in the end, but the detailing is goodWild Ride - A sight one won't likely see again in future. (Unless, of course, you have the right toys...)

Also, as a special bonus, the second background for this site, in small

and large sizes (really. This is the large of the two.):
The original background looked like this:

The Dragon Background by Cullen Waters

The Hell...?! Index

The realm of the Fantastic goes into some really strange places sometimes. On this, spending time in the Fantastic sometimes leads to odd thoughts. Here are but a few of them.
