Joseph Stefano

Joseph Stefano has passed away five days ago at age 84. He is best known for being the writer of the movie Psycho as well as one of the guiding forces behind the classic T.V. series The Outer Limits. He also wrote Snowbeast, one of the better Yeti movies.

The Chromoite, which Joseph hated and rewrote endlessly before airing, terrified me, and gave me my life-long habit of biting my fingernails. (From the episode "The Mice.")

"Corpus Earthling" was another. I defy anyone to watch that and have a nice, uneasy sleep. That was the one where Mom said "Enough!" and turned off the TV.

I remember "Corpus Earthling." Such a happy little episode. Then, of course, there's "The Zanti Misfits", which I remember being rather disappointed in. Still, the Zanti were (and still are) neat looking dudes.
